How the fee works

Auction ends with a bid
The app creates a Shopify draft order for the winning amount and emails the winner a checkout link.

Winner pays
They check out on your store as normal. If they don't pay, nothing is charged and the item can go to the next bidder.

5% appears on your Shopify bill
Calculated on the winning bid only — not shipping, tax, or extra items — as a Shopify usage charge.

Pricing questions
What does Auction Now cost?
Nothing to install and no monthly plan. We charge a 5% success fee on the final bid amount, and only when the winner pays for the order.
When is the 5% fee charged?
When the draft order for a won auction is paid. It's billed as a Shopify usage charge on your regular Shopify bill. Unsold and unpaid auctions are never charged.
Is the fee charged on shipping or tax?
No. The fee is calculated on the winning bid only, not on shipping, tax, or any extra items the buyer adds at checkout.
Are there any auction limits?
No. Unlimited live auctions, unlimited scheduled auctions, unlimited bidder emails.
Do I still pay Shopify's payment processing?
Yes, as with any order on your store. Shopify Payments rates depend on your plan; the 5% is separate from and in addition to processing.
Is there a plan with a flat monthly fee instead?
Not today. If you consistently run high auction volume and would prefer a flat fee, email us — we want to hear about it.
